How Can I Donate?

There are many ways to contribute to the Resource Center. You can donate food, your time, your money and your talents.

Donations can be dropped off at the Mt. Calvary Family Resource Center during open hours: Tuesday and Thursday 12-2 p.m. or 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. or by appointment for large donations.Tax deduction receipts are available.

Food Shelf Donations

The Food Shelf is often short of these items:

Cereal
Crackers
Rice
Jelly
Juice
Snacks
Coffee and Tea
Tomato products (pasta sauce, canned tomatoes, etc)
Pancake mix and syrup
Canned meat
Diapers
Personal hygiene products
Grocery gift cards

The Food Shelf serves a diverse clientele. The items that are most requested are listed here by the ethnicity of the clients.

Ethnicity:	Hispanic
	flour, white rice, oil, pasta, dried pinto beans, dried black beans, dried lentil beans, dried garbanzo beans, potatoes, squash, tortillas, canned tuna, tomato paste, hot salsas, canned jalapenos

Ethnicity:	American Indian
	rice, flour, sugar, oil/shortening, baking powder, tea bags/coffee, potatoes

Ethnicity:	Asian
	yellow kokuho rice, Rose brand noodles, fish sauce, beef stew, oatmeal, canned tuna

Ethnicity:	African/some Islamic
	canned tuna, dried kidney beans, dried garbanzo beans, dried white beans, dried lentils, basmati rice, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, pasta

Outreach Donations

We also collect the following items for distribution to those in need:

Children's books
Winter hats, mittens, scarves (in season only)
Blankets and quilts (winter only)
Winter boots and coats (in season only)
School supplies

Workbooks, reference books, educational products for the After School Program are always welcome!

We do occasionally accept donations of furniture, office equipment and other items based on client need. If you would like to donate items other than the items listed above, please call or email and someone will contact you.
