The Resource Center is proud to be a distribution point for Cheerful Givers, a non-profit organziation that distributes birthday bags to children who might not otherwise receive presents during their birthday. Food shelf volunteers check with clients to see if a child in the family is having a birthday that month. Most birthday bags are geared for chldren ages 3-12 although gifts for teens are always in demand. Our volunteers love giving out these birthday bags as that one little item can make a child's - and an parent's - day seem that much brighter. Many organizations such as youth groups, scout troops, churches and businesses have also created birthday bags and donated them to the Resource Center for distribution.
